实验室中西医学组学术活动

中医药与西医药各有优势,中医注重整体观念,从整体上把握生命与疾病的规律,倡导人与自然、人与社会及人体内部的紧密联系,而西医对人体的认识已进入细胞结构水平,对于疾病可以从细胞甚至分子水平上认识。西药的使用主要针对疾病靶点进行治疗。如何把传统的中医药的整体观念和方法与西医药分析还原的方法结合起来,相互补充,在提高临床疗效的基础上,进一步阐明机理并获得新的医学认识,是一个非常值得探讨的问题。这次会议目标是展示优秀科学家的中医药与西医药的主要研究成果,期待通过交流碰撞出新的火花。

Prof. Roland Brock

Radboud University Medical Center, Netherland - Peptide-mediated delivery of oligonucleotides: Quantitative analyses of dose-response functions and therapeutic applications
Chair of the programme committee of the Honours Programme Medical Sciences. Research of the group focuses on two areas: First, the mechanism and application of cellular molecule import and cellular targeting in nanomedicine; second, molecular processes associated with the aging and pathophysiology of human red blood cells (subgroup of Dr. Giel Bosman). Both areas benefit from the combination of expertise in (bio-)organic chemistry, biochemistry, advanced microscopy, cell biology and molecular pharmacology. In drug delivery, we cover a broad spectrum of nanomedicine approaches, ranging from active targeting, using innovative small molecular weight alternatives to antibodies such as nanobodies and DARPins to peptide-based nanoparticles for oligonucleotide delivery. Next to oligonucleotides, we employ photosensitizers and toxins as therapeutic modalities. All our targeting activities are conducted in collaboration with (clinical) groups of the Radboud University Medical Center and address a concrete biomedical problem. For oligonucleotide delivery, we are focusing on glomerular kidney disease,myotonic dystrophy and ovarian cancer, for targeted delivery on ovarian cancer and breast cancer. In order to enhance the relevance of our preclinical ex vivo work, and achieve a better mechanistic understanding of drug delivery approaches, we develop and apply tumor-on-a-chip systems.
王新华 教授

中医药抗流感病毒的临床与实验研究
医学博士,教授,博士生导师,享受国务院“政府特殊津贴”。1984年毕业于广州中医药大学中医学专业, 2001-2002年美国国立卫生研究院(NIH)高级访问学者。历任广州中医药大学热带医学研究所副所长、党总支书记、外事处处长(国际学院院长)、副校长,现任广州医科大学党委常委、党委副书记、 校长。兼任国家中医药管理局中西医结合临床学科带头人、中华中医药学会理事、广东省中医药学会副会长、世界中医药联合会翻译专业委员会副会长;教育部中西医结合专业教学指导委员会委员、广东省中西医结合专业教学指导委员会副主席。是广州市优秀专家、国家级双语示范课程《中医学基础》负责人、国家自然科学基金终评专家,广州市中医名科“中西医结合呼吸”专科负责人。长期致力于中西医结合的临床、教学和科研工作,主要研究领域:青蒿素治疗疟疾、抗疟药抗性机制和中医药抗病毒研究,是我国青蒿素临床研究和推广应用团队核心成员。主持国家自然科学基金联合基金项目、面上项目和国家科技支撑计划等科研课题多项。发表学术论文 100余篇,获国家科技进步奖两项(主要成员)。目前已指导硕士、博士生70余名,曾获“南粤教书育人优秀教师”等称号。主编主译国家规划教材《中医临床基础》(双语)及主编国家规划教材《中医学》(英文版)。
Prof. Mark Zanin

Respiratory mucus and influenza viruses
Dr. Zanin received his PhD from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Zanin's research interests is in understanding host and viral factors that regulate airborne transmissibility. During his postdoctoral training with Dr. Richard Webby at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dr. Zanin discovered that influenza virus non-structural protein can regulate the transmissibility of the avian influenza viruses by modulating the mammalian hosts interferon response. This represents a novel factor by which influenza viruses can become transmissible in mammals. On the host side, Dr. Zanin has also studied the role of mucus in facilitating influenza virus infection in mammalian hosts. In addition to studying virus transmissibility, Dr. Zanin is also interested in discovering novel therapeutics against influenza viruses. He has collaborated with Prof. Zifeng Yang on studies to evaluate the antiviral potential of Traditional Chinese Medicine against influenza virus.
Prof. Sooksan Wong

Influenza in China
After receiving her PhD in molecular virology from the University of Melbourne in Australia, Dr. Wong joined the laboratory of Dr. Richard Webby as a post- doctoral fellow working to work on influenza virus. Dr. Wong’s research interest is in understanding the host immunity to viral pathogens that are rapidly evolving and how to improve our defenses against them. Her research activity during her postdoctoral training had encompassed basic laboratory investigations to epidemiological and human clinical studies. Her collective body of work has aimed at identifying an immune correlate of protection against seasonal and avian influenza virus infections. Aside from her work in influenza immunity, she has also worked on the pathogenesis of emerging zoonotic influenza viruses and collaborated with others on pre-clinical studies on the mechanisms of action for potential antiviral compounds.
杨子峰 教授

六神丸抗流感病毒研究
医学博士,博士生导师,广东省“千百十”人才计划省级培养对象,2017年药明康德生命化学奖学者奖得主,广州市市属高校“羊城学者”学术带头人, 广州医科大学南山学者。担任国际流感和呼吸道病毒学会会员及世界中医药联合会中药免疫分会常务理事、中国环境科学学会室内环境与健康分会的医院环境与健康学组副组长。现任广州医科大学呼吸疾病国家重点实验室临床病毒方向的责任研究员(Pl)、广州呼研院-金域联合病毒诊断和研发中心共同执行主任。 博士及高访期间师从钟南山院士、WHO美国流感生态学参考实验室主任Richard Webby等国内外新突发传染病大师。主要从事呼吸道病毒的实验室诊断与中药抗病毒治疗研究。近五年他创建了临床病毒检测和适宜技术推广平台,覆盖广东辐射全国,突破基层早发现能力弱瓶颈;发展全病程多时点病毒载量和炎症因子监测体系,证实用甲流致细菌更定植的现象和机制,报道第5波H7N9对禽高致病的HA变异,揭示人感染H7N9/H5N6禽流感临床规律并实现治愈率逾83%(NEJM等发表);创建树鼩等兼具病毒和炎症模拟性模型,主导多个抗病毒药再评价;突破板蓝根物质基础全貌及新质控成分M4/B3的发现,攻克多糖、吲哚和甾类等抗病毒抗炎多靶点机制,揭示中药调节固有免疲提升机体正气的内涵(发表于Science等)。发表SCI论文70篇,总IF:170,他引284。授权专利6项,参编指南l部。获颁药明康德佳命化学奖、申国专利优秀奖。
