讲者介绍：

Mark Zanin和 Sook-San Wong教授，师从St. Jude儿童研究医院WHO禽流感参考实验室主任Richard Webby博士和Robert G. Webster博士（美国国家科学院院士）。Zanin博士的主要研究兴趣包括了解人类之间传播流感病毒背后的宿主，病毒和环境因素。Sook-San Wong博士的主要研究兴趣集中在对流感病毒感染的宿主免疫应答及其对病毒进化的影响。两位博士先后在NATURE BIOTECHNOLOGY(IF:41.667)Cell Host & Microbe 19:159 (IF:14.946) Lancet/Infectious Diseases 16:266 (IF:19.864)。

Sook-San Wong, PhD

After receiving her PhD in molecular virology from the University of Melbourne in Australia, Dr. Wong’s research interest is in understanding the host immunity to viral pathogens that are rapidly evolving and how to improve our defenses against them. Aside from her work in influenza immunity, she has also worked on the pathogenesis of emerging zoonotic influenza viruses and collaborated with others on pre-clinical studies on the mechanisms of action for potential antiviral compounds.

Mark Zanin, PhD

Dr. Zanin received his PhD from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Zanin’s research interests is in understanding host and viral factors that regulate airborne transmissibility. Dr. Zanin also studies the role of mucus in facilitating influenza virus infection in mammalian hosts. In addition to studying virus transmissibility, Dr. Zanin is also interested in discovering novel therapeutics against influenza viruses.
